Four Black women leaders spoke about their work, current challenges facing the Black community and nation, and offered calls to action at the Trice Edney News Wire’s annual Stateswomen for Justice Luncheon in D.C.

James Wright Jr. is the D.C. political reporter for the ×îÐÂÂ鶹ӰÒôÊÓƵ Newspaper. He has worked for the Washington AFRO-American Newspaper as a reporter, city editor and freelance writer and The Washington Post as a copy editor, in addition to reporting for the Informer. Working as a journalist in D.C. for 30-years, Wright has interviewed foreign leaders such as Libya's Moammar Quadafi and South Africa's Thabo Mbeki as well as a number of U.S. Black political leaders. He has traveled to nations such as Libya, Afghanistan, Ghana, South Africa, Zimbabwe, the United Kingdom and Italy to do his work.
