Juanita “Busy Bee” Britton hosted a special showcase featuring artists Marvin Sin and Akosua Bandele at the Anacostia Art Gallery on February 23rd. Located at 119 Raleigh St SE, the gallery is a vibrant hub for Black artists and creatives from the African diaspora, open every Saturday and Sunday. Britton curates an ever-evolving collection of artwork, highlighting diverse talent from the DMV art scene and beyond. This recent event celebrated the artistry of Sin, known for his intricate leather designs, and Bandele, recognized for her Afrocentric visual storytelling. The Anacostia Art Gallery continues to be a cornerstone for cultural expression, connecting communities through African art and heritage.
